Ms. Berry also practices in the area of family law, focusing on protecting clients’ rights in divorce, paternity, child custody, modifications, injunctions and adoptions.
She has a unique understanding of the pressures on families involved in domestic relations litigation, as she is the single parent of an adopted child. Ms. Berry grew up in South Florida. She attended the University of Florida, earning a bachelor’s degree majoring in political science with a minor degree in English literature. She then returned to South Florida to obtain her Juris Doctorate degree. While attending law school, she earned distinction as a member of the dean’s list and received the highest overall marks in her classes in trial advocacy, family law, and the immigration law clinic.
While in school and immediately following graduation, she worked and clerked for South Florida firms that specialized in all areas of family law litigation. She then moved to Central Florida and began her career in defending the rights of people accused of criminal activity. She worked for nearly 10 years at the office of the public defender where she represented thousands of clients and nearly one hundred clients during their jury trials in Seminole County before becoming a founding partner in the Law Offices of Mercado and Berry, P.A. She practiced in the partnership for seven years.
Ms. Berry is now a sole practitioner in the Law Office of Mira Berry, LLC. She will continue to focus on family law and criminal defense in the Central Florida area. She will continue to maintain her primary office in Sanford.
Ms. Berry is admitted to practice in the Florida State Courts and in the U.S. Middle District of Florida, federal court system.
Ms. Berry represents clients throughout Central Florida, concentrating practice in the counties of Seminole, Orange, Lake, and Volusia.
